Who we are

What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Booking data: your name, email address, phone number, postal address, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, and any special requests you send with your reservation.
• Payment data: your card is entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store the full card number, CVV, or PIN. We receive only a tokenized reference plus the last four digits and expiration date so that we can charge the balance on your arrival date.
• Website data: basic server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
• Communications: emails, phone calls, and messages between you and our team relating to your stay.

Why we collect it

• To create, confirm, and manage your reservation (performance of a contract).
• To charge for your stay on the agreed date (performance of a contract).
• To send booking confirmations, arrival instructions, cancellation notices, and receipts.
• To meet tax and lodging record-keeping obligations under applicable law (legal obligation).
• To respond to your questions and support requests (legitimate interest).

Sharing

We share your information only with the service providers we need to run the business. We do not sell personal data.

How your card is handled

When you complete a booking, your card is collected by Stripe and stored on their servers as a secure token. We do not see or store the full card number. On your check-in day, we charge the full amount of your stay to that stored card, per the terms of your booking. If you cancel, refunds are processed to the same card according to our cancellation policy.

How long we keep it

• Booking and payment records: up to 7 years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
• Stored card tokens: retained for the duration of your stay and deleted after final payment settles, unless you ask us to keep them for a future booking.
• Website server logs: typically 30–90 days.
• Email correspondence: retained as needed for customer service and dispute resolution.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, request its deletion (subject to legal retention requirements), and object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at vacationrentals_bnb@yahoo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use only cookies strictly necessary for the website to function (for example, remembering your booking selections during checkout). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Children

Our services are directed at adults booking accommodation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your booking where appropriate.
